Alisa Deitz
Coaching certification from New Ventures West, an ICF accredited school
I believe that every individual has the capacity to change. The process for making change is not simply an intellectual matter. To truly alter our habitual responses and expand our capacity to respond we need to look at the whole person not as someone who needs to be “fixed” but as someone who desires something greater. To that end I work with my clients to develop new ways to look at the issue or situation that has prompted the call to be coached. The purpose of our work is to develop new insights and then new skills to change habitual reactions or mental models about the behavior of others.

My approach to coaching is based on an integral model. There are three specific areas where I hope to produce outcomes. The first area is long-term excellence. In that area we focus on developing skills and competence and finding fulfillment. But that is not enough. As a client develops the capacity to discern the gaps between what he intends and what he actually achieves on his own, he is able to begin to be self-correcting; able to identify when habits or models restrict his ability to act. Beyond that ability to diagnose, the ultimate goal is to be able to draw upon inner resources and to continuously grow and develop independently. So, the goal of coaching, in my view is to aid clients in developing the competencies to independently assess and manage their ongoing self development.

It’s vital that each client be treated as an individual and be provided with a personalized approach. There is no pre-defined list of steps to solve the issues. I work in partnership with each client to clearly articulate the unique purpose of their coaching program and the individual outcomes they want to achieve. From that point I will develop a personal plan for you to move to a level of competency that brings you satisfaction and allows you to reach your goals. Clients have said that I “have a way of embracing a situation, bringing clarity and creating a path that allows solutions through self-discovery.” www.effectllc.com

Jewel Ray Chaudhuri, Ph.D.
Life, Career and Leadership Coaching
I have worked in corporate America as a training consultant and coach for more than 20 years. A few years ago, I left my company to take early retirement, finish my Ph.D. and hang up my shingle as a consultant and coach. My dissertation was on women and their experiences of power so I am familiar with the challenges and transitions that women face in entering the workplace and moving up the career ladder.

I believe that clients are whole and resilient and that coaching is a partnership to bring self-discovery and learning for the client. I see coaching as a wonderful opportunity to 'push the envelope', to venture into places of forging new dreams and to rekindle passions that take you to new actions. I am an ontological coach, which means that I work with the body, emotions and language to help you to become a different observer of yourself, shifting your way of being. And, from this different observer, new actions and choices become possible.
