A SOLDIER
Talk to most any veteran from WWII to the
present. Ask them how much help they needed
and how much assistance the American public
gave them as they struggled to rebuild their
lives after serving our country. You will
be deeply saddened by their faces as they
remember how lost and alone they felt and
the lack of support or gratitude they received.
We allowed them to melt back into society
with barely a “Thanks and Good Luck!”
Today the look of our modern day soldiers
is rapidly changing. They are young, strong…and
beautiful! They are WOMEN! ESUSA was founded
and exists to make sure that these women know
that there is an organization here for them
and that history will not repeat itself.
The Empowerment Society of the United States
of America believes that we as Americans could
never do enough to show our indebtedness to
ALL of our military who have served to protect
us. Due to the rapid enrollment of military
women in the last decade, there is an unequal
share of resources and programs offered specifically
to the transitioning females of the U.S. Armed
Forces. ESUSA refuses to allow our women to
return to society without the support and
resources they need.
War is a life changing experience, especially
for the deployed military. Try to imagine
what it might feel like, as a member of this
select group, to receive orders to report
to overseas active duty. How would it feel
to hug your children or loved ones TODAY and
say “Goodbye” for an undisclosed
period of time, or worse yet, possibly for
the last time? When you arrive at your assigned
destination, what thoughts would be passing
through your mind in the foreign dirt and
darkness of this unfamiliar environment?
Living in the moment and focused intent are
essential to survival in a war zone. But what
do our military women think about while they
are torn away from the comforts of home and
allow their minds the luxury of planning for
the life they are so desperately fighting
to come home to?
Facing death at any minute is cause to reflect
on what is REALLY important in life. Questions
and doubts may arise. What changes will I
choose to make when returning home? Will my
children remember me? Will my position still
be waiting for me after a year or more away
from my workplace? Should I change careers?
Will my marriage or my relationship withstand
the strain of time and distance? What new
circumstances and challenges will I encounter
that are completely out of my control, yet
related to my absence? Whether we like it
or not, LIFE IS CHANGE! The experiences our
courageous female soldiers have gone through
and the memories they retain are dramatic.
When it is time to return home, making the
transition from active duty soldier back to
mother, wife and/or career woman takes a different
kind of courage, strategy and skills. The
Empowerment Society of the United States of
America stands ready to assist in this transition
by providing the tools, skills and professional
guidance to empower each woman as they re-establish
themselves back into society with confidence,
dignity and success. We feel with great passion
at this time in American history, that the
focus of our organization is directed towards
a worthy and deserving sector. We are honored
to help these amazing women who have served
us in such a heroic way.
